Dan Voellm, MRICS, is the CEO and founder of AP Hospitality Advisors, responsible for overseeing all company operations. He resides in Hong Kong and manages the entire Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
With over 15 years of consulting experience, Dan Voellm has provided advisory services in 24 locations across the Asia-Pacific region. Before rebranding the company as AP Hospitality Advisors in 2021, he was the Managing Partner of HVS Asia-Pacific, responsible for five offices in Greater China and Thailand. Dan began his career as Vice President at HVS’s global headquarters in New York (2005-2008), where he conducted extensive valuation, market research, and acquisition due diligence services across 22 U.S. states and Canada.
Dan brings a deep understanding of the hotel industry to AP Hospitality Advisors. His experience in hotel and F&B operations across Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and the U.S. is complemented by a Bachelor of Science with Honors from the prestigious Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland.
Dan works closely with leading institutional and individual hotel property owners, financiers, developers, and investors, with a thorough understanding of investment requirements and the market value of investment properties. He also provides additional advisory services on real estate and concept development strategies, as well as expert witness testimony.
Dan is the Vice Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hotel Development Council in the Asia-Pacific region and became a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2016.
